Jinn is a descriptor for any person who surrenders himself or herself to the strategy of Iblees. Are we required to believe in Jinn AS A SEPARATE CREATURE? Anyone who rejects this Aya and insists on believing in Jinn as a separate creature is belying the QurꜤān! PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! © The Marvelous Quran 2021. This is copyrighted material. The term "Shajaratun" is from the morpheme "Fa3alatun" based on the gerund "sha-ja-ra" which means to argue in adversarial manner. Other terms of similar derivation are used in the Quran, such in Aya 80:42: "Kafaratu" and "Fajaratu" Also, the term "Bararatin" used in Aya 80:16. They are all derived from the same morpheme. This is not "my own personal thoughts". 2. The term "shajaratun" occurs in a different word, sounding exactly the same, and spelled in exactly the same way, to mean "tree". This is common in Arabic. It is like saying "Bear" (the animal) and "bear" (the verb) in English. 3. And thus, Aya 17:60, the term "ash-shajarata al-mal3unata" refers to the group of the cursed ones because they are argumentative in an adversarial manner against the message of our beloved SAWS. Clearly, Allahh is not cursing a tree, or is he? The term "ash-shajarata al-mal3unata" in the Quran refers to the rejecters among Bani Israil as clearly elucidated in Aya 5:78... Clarification re. “Do not go near this ‘Shajarah’ ” Why did our beloved SAWS meet with the Jewish leaders? Answer: He met with them to invite them and to challenge them, NOT TO LEARN FROM THEM! © The Marvelous Quran 2021. This is copyrighted material. Duplication or copying or sharing without prior written approval is strictly prohibited. 7 The QurꜤān frequently taught our beloved SAWS to say this to them or to say that to them. Reminder #4: Why Iblees did not die and why was he granted a stay by Allahh? 1. Allahh gave us the drive for independent learning and understanding, and with that, comes the inevitable negative side effect of making hurried interpretations based on heuristics and incomplete information. This is needed for survival purposes 2. Iblees is a part of us and is necessary to our own independent learning and growth… 3. Iblees represents all cognitive biases and reasoning errors 4. However, Allahh taught us about Iblees’s strategy (which we will detail further in this segment) 5. You have to tame Iblees and use him to further your development instead of allowing Iblees free reign, which could hinder your development. 6. The way to tame Iblees is ٱ ط ُ ِّ َّصَّٰ ل ٱ ُ ِقيم َ ت ْ س ُ م ْ ل” , Assirāṭul Mustaqeem”, the methodology of self-correction; i.e., the organic QurꜤānic methodology. 7. This methodology is NOT ONLY USEFUL FOR ENGAGING THE QURꜤĀN, BUT FOR ALL KNOWLEDGE, because all knowledge comes from Allahh! 8. In other words: Engaging the QurꜤān using “As-sirāṭul Mustaqeem” is an exercise to learn how navigate everything else in the universe. © The Marvelous Quran 2021. This is copyrighted material. [From Prior Segment “Who (or What) is Iblees?”] Answer: To lure us to 3ājilah and to distract us from Ākhirah!* He does so by inciting us to claim independence from our creator To derail our disciplined search for truth, by: - Frustrating our search for, and adherence to methodology (including overconfidence in our observational and intellectual abilities) - Deluding us with erroneous claims about history - Tempting us with lust for posterity (including reputation, accumulation of material wealth, and preservation of progeny) - Seducing us with fake righteousness - Trapping us in our own cognitive defects and biases - Appealing to our own arrogance and conceit - Relying on our laziness to get us to follow others instead of connecting with Allahh *See Segment titled “Why no Mango or Pineapple in the Quran?” © The Marvelous Quran 2021. Because the angels are fully dependent on what they receive exclusively from Allahh. They don’t learn independently! They obey without hesitation or questioning. Their actions are “synchronized” by Allahh’s order in the universe. [Refer to the segment titled “Why no Mango or Pineapple in the QurꜤān?”] Key Performance Indicator (KPI or measure of success): “You shall find that the majority of them will not properly communicate with you.” Iblees’s Strategic Initiatives: From Sūrah Al-A3rāf (Sūrah 7): 1. Using (claims about) their predecessors, 2. Using their (lust for) posterity, 3. Using their (fake) righteousness, and 4. Using their many vulnerabilities to wickedness; From Sūrah Al-Ḥijr (Sūrah 15): 5. To adopt the زينة” Zeena” (i.e., the embellishment of the superficial layer of the scripture) in interpreting the QurꜤān, 6. To induce them to accept intermediaries between them and Allahh, and 7. That is so because Allahh shall punish the hypocrites, be they men or women, and those who associate (with Allahh), be they men or women, and shall accept the repentance of the believers, be they men or women. Indeed, Allahh is responsive to those who seek to reconnect, and is all-compassionate. [from the segment titled “Who (or What) was ādam?”] © The Marvelous Quran 2021. This is copyrighted material. They expected messengers and prophets to be above the status of Bashar! - Allahh appoints regular human beings (Bashar), but they insist that messengers and prophets were perfect in every aspect, even before they are appointed as messengers or prophets - Our beloved SAWS say: “Every one of Bani ādam is susceptible to make mistakes.” They say: “No! prophets and messengers are perfect and they do not make mistakes!” - The QurꜤān tells us that even our beloved SAWS had some sins (Aya 48:2). They say: “No! He was perfect!” - The QurꜤān tells us that Allahh shall guide our beloved to a methodology for self-correction (Aya 48:2)! They say: “No! He knew everything from day 1.” - Similarly, Bani IssrāꜤīl claimed that all prophets and messengers were expected to be perfect! They used the designation “Insān” to refer to that status, and then they assigned the same designation to themselves, as a secret code label of superiority and distinction: َ ال َ ق َ و ٱ ُ َ َل َ م ْ ل ِمِه ْ و َ ِمن ق ٱ َ ِين َّ ذل ِء ٓ ا َ ِِلق وا ب ُ ب َّ ذ َ ك َ واو ُ ر َ ف َ م ِِف ْ ه ُ رةِ ك ٱل ِخَ ََّٰ ن ْ ف َ ر ْ ت َ أ َ و ٱ ةِ َّٰ و َ ي َ ْ حل ٱ ا َ ي ْ ن ُّ دل َش َ ٌ ب َّ ِل إ ٓ ا َ ذ ََّٰ ا ه َ م ُ ل ُ ك ْ أ َ ا ت َّ ِمم ُ ل ُ ك ْ أ َ ي ْ م كُ ُ ل ْ ث ِّ م َ ون ُ ب َ ش ْ َ ا ت َّ ِمم بُ َ َش ْ ي َ و ُ ه ْ ِمن َ ون ﴿33:23 - ﴾املؤمنون …This person is nothing but ‘Bashar’ like you: He eats from what you eat and he drinks from what you drink! © The Marvelous Quran 2021.
