Tafseer dan Terjemahan Surah al-Quran Yang Salah

Surah #12 : Yusuf

YT 94 : Kisah Yusuf Bahagian 1

Āyat 12:1-3

Yūsuf 12:1   الٓرٰ ۟  تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْمُبِيْنِ Those are the signs of the revealing (i.e. exposing message of the) الْكِتٰبِ  scripture.

Not just the book but the whole message of the Quran which is the same message that was given before to earlier Messengers. so  الْكِتٰبِ  has ayat signs and this  الْكِتٰبِ  is exposing it, exposes things it reveals. And then Allah says :

Yūsuf 12:2  اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ  We deposited it, We have lodged it  قُرْءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا based on syntactic propriety very accurate syntax very coherent semantics.  into a concatenated Quran (readable textual form),  لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ perchance you (all) might engage your intellect.

 عَرَبِيًّا Is translated  as "concinnated  from the verb to concatenate that means to provide a linguistic vehicle well-formed  that is based on synctactic semantics, meaning “indications” and provides the instruments for the literary eloquence. And this the definition of the word  عَرَبِيًّا.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir : Yūsuf 12:2 اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ قُرْءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ Sesungguhnya Kami menurunkan kitab itu sebagai Quran yang dibaca dengan bahasa Arab, supaya kamu (menggunakan akal untuk) memahaminya.

So عَرَبِيًّا  is not referring to the ethnicity.  Allah SWT is not a racist and the proof is the rest of this Ayah says لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ  perhaps you might engage your intellect .

If this is referring to the language of the Arabs that means only the Arabs might engage their intellect and this cannot be because this is an ethnic reference that does not allow us to ascribe to Allah his due reverence. And therefore  عَرَبِيًّا  means something else.

It means to express powerfully in a very powerful way in a very clear distinct way and this is what the word concinnated means.  So therefore Allah SWT is telling us we deposited the message of الْكِتٰبِ in a Quran that is concinnated perhaps you reflect you engage your intellect you receive the knowledge into your قَلْب - your core. And therefore you engage the intellect and the thinking process and you receive the guidance from Allah SWT. All these meanings are included in  لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ.

Yūsuf 12:3 نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ اَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ بِمَاۤ اَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلَيْكَ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ ۖ  We disclose onto you (Muhammad, in the form of) stories in Surah Yusof, that are most insightful, (as a verse most capable of holding the insight of safekeeping it of guarding it and releasing it upon demand upon instruction by Allah SWT).

What We enjoined for you (of) this Quran -  وَاِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِهٖ لَمِنَ الْغٰفِلِيْنَ  And indeed, you were before it (i.e. before the story in this Surah) among those unaware (of Our style of expressing instructions, enjoinments to you in a manner concealed within the Quranic stories) which is a genius way of delivering secret messages  being revealed to Muhammad without the rest of the people hearing Muhammad recite the Quran  .
